 Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team at Power Services Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and proficiency in operating manual machining equipment. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.


Schedule:   1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Over time as needed

Language: English or Spanish


Role and Responsibilities
  • Machine complex, high-precision parts for equipment repairs.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and gauges.
  • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders.
  • Evaluate procedures and recommend changes for improved efficiency or adaptability.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow directed safety procedures.
  • Perform mechanical work as required, including assembly and disassembly.
  • Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks.
  • Perform extra assignments and related tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience in a manufacturing machining environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools and close tolerances.
  • Ability to read blueprints and metric measurements.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to follow specific written instructions and procedures.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of basic mathematical skills.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Exhibit qualities of trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
  • Regular, consistent attendance is required. Overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience using manual machining equipment preferred.
  • Crane and forklift experience is a plus, but training is available.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical certification preferred.
